A couple months ago in The Mighty Thor #700, Marvel gave readers a look at what the future holds for Odinson and Jane Foster. Today, it’s been revealed there will be a death in issue #705.
Jane has been struggling with her health. Each time she uses the power of Thor, it takes a toll on her body. With Asgard in jeopardy, Jane may be making the ultimate sacrifice.
Editor Wil Moss teased the following:
“This is it, folks! The big showdown between Thor and Mangog. The penultimate chapter of ‘The Death of the Mighty Thor.’ Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman have been building to this issue for over three years, and you absolutely do not want to miss this. You may think you know where things are going, but I promise you do not.”

What does all this mean? Will this mark the end of Jane’s tenure as the Goddess of Thunder? Will Odinson ever reclaim his place as “Thor”?
