The DC Universe and the Legendary’s Monsterverse will be colliding, hard, this October.
DC and Legendary Comics, working in partnership with Toho International will be delivering a 7-issue miniseries featuring the massive clash. Who would’ve thought we’d see DC’s greatest heroes face off against the greatest “monsters” of all time?
The creators on the series features the ultra-cool writer Brian Buccellato (The Flash, Injustice, Detective Comics), artist Christian Duce (Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point) and colorist Luis Guerrero.
The story starts off with a fight between the Justice League and the Legion of Doom. During the skirmish, a wall between worlds ends up getting breached. This leads to Godzilla, Kong and the Monsterverse coming to DC’s Earth.
We’ll see Clark and Lois are enjoying a night off when Godzilla makes his appearance, coming out of the bay.
Buccellato had this to say:
I’ve had the good fortune to write most of the legendary DC Super Heroes before—from my time on THE FLASH, DETECTIVE COMICS, and INJUSTICE. This time I get to build something way larger-than-life using all the toys in two different sandboxes. It’s such a thrill to tear open both the DC Universe and Legendary’s Monsterverse for this dream project.
Jim Lee, DC President, Publisher and Chief Creative Officer, also had this to say:

You’ll also be able to get a different type of variant covers. Godzilla “Roar Sound FX” gatefold variant cover and the Kong “Roar Sound FX” gatefold variant cover, both by Christian Duce, go on sale November 14 (polybagged, $14.99 US). Sound chips in the covers will have both Godzilla and Kong deliver battle roars when the gatefold is opened! You can actually hear them RRAAGGHH!
JUSTICE LEAGUE VS. GODZILLA VS. KONG #1, written by Brian Buccellato with art by Christian Duce and Luis Guerrero, is on sale on October 17 with a main cover by Drew Johnson and variant covers by Jim Lee and Scott Williams; Rafael Albuquerque; Francesco Mattina; and Dan Mora and Alan Quah.
