It’s Unwrapping Time!
This time around, we’re looking at a newly released vinyl. Well, the vinyl is newly released, but the album is not. We’re looking at Taylor Swift’s 31+ song version of The Tortured Poets Department. The album was first released back on April 19. 2024. The various vinyl releases only contained the full album plus one of the bonus songs from The Anthology version.
The Anthology has now been released of four translucent marbled vinyls exclusively at Target. Check out the new images inside and the difference of the marbled colors on each vinyl.
As this is a Target-Exclusive, it’s hard to say how hard it will be to get if your store happens to sell out. As mentioned in the video, I probably got to my store 20-30 minutes after they opened and they were restocking already. I would imagine that if this first round of stock sells out, they will likely get more in. I continue to see various other Target-exclusive versions of releases from other artists.
But you never really know, unless an official statement is released. The Target app says they expect it to sell out. Is that just hyperbole? They went on sale in stores Friday, November 29, and then were available online the next day. Just try to avoid paying crazy prices from a reseller. I believe, but could be wrong, it won’t be difficult to find.
