Unwrapping: U2 – How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb Black Friday RSD Exclusive Vinyl

Hello, hello! It’s Unwrapping Time!

This was meant to be posted last week, but the holidays and all that pushed it back. This week we’re going to look at the Black Friday Record Store Day release of U2’s How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb. This is ten tracks “from the vault” during the time the band was recording How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb back in 2004.

I understand some people love U2 and others…not so much. I’ve long been a fan, since the 80s. Either way, check out the cool colored vinyl. This album is only available through indie record stores. Hit one up to see if they still have any copies or if they can still possible order one. It was limited to 20,000 copies. I assume they chose that number because it’s the 20th anniversary of Dismantle.

Check out the unboxing. Also my battery died right at the end, but I think I rambled on enough for you to get the point.

The songs definitely have the vibe from that era. I’ll admit, I’m always a tiny bit skeptical when we suddenly get a bunch of songs “from the vault.” I’m not sure if the artists have to go into the studio to polish them up, re-record them, or if they’ve just been sitting complete, waiting to be heard.

I’m digging the vibe here. It does feel like we took a trip back. Let me know what you think.
