Unwrapping: Heart (Self Titled) Barnes & Noble Iridescent Blue Vinyl

It’s Unwrapping Time!

This week we’re checking out the re-release for Heart’s self-titled 1985 album. This was the album where they basically became more mainstream and reached a new audience. In the days of MTV videos, the videos featuring Ann and Nancy Wilson were constantly aired.

This was my first exposure to the band. I remember seeing them live for this tour, and they played “Barracuda” at one point. It almost sounded vaguely familiar to my young and inexperienced ears. I just remember the sound when it started. I was like, “What is this magic?” I soon discovered they had several previous albums.

With a re-release for the album, Barnes & Noble has an exclusive “Iridescent Blue” colored vinyl. Because I had a gift card, I pre-ordered this (and the new Mumford and Sons, which I posted last week). Check out what “Iridescent Blue” actually looks like:

Are you a fan of the band? What’s your favorite song from the album?

I don’t often double dip, or at least I try not to. My previous copy is a little beat up, and I thought this looked like a nice color. I have no regrets. Let me know what you think.
