Last week we continued the look-back at the early Hobgoblin stories in The Amazing Spider-Man by looking at issues #277 and 278. It looked as if the Hobgoblin has been captured and unmasked. Much to Peter Parker’s dismay, it turned out to be a long time friend of his. He’s left trying to decide if he should be there to support his friend even though, as the Hobgoblin, he may have been trying to kill him, as Spider-Man. Let’s not forget the Scourge of the Underworld is also gunning for the person he thinks is the Hobgoblin.
This week we’ll look at a couple more issues where Spider-Man decides to help with his friend’s upcoming court coasts by taking a mercenary gig with Silver Surfer. Obviously it’s not going to go the way he hopes or thinks it will.
