It’s Unwrapping Time!
This week we’re looking at the new 4K UHD Blu-ray release of Evil Dead Rise from Arrow Video.
The movie first was released in theaters on April 21, 2023, and was directed by Lee Cronin. It was previously released on 4K but has gone out of print. The new Arrow Video version was released on January 13, 2026. You can hear my thoughts on the movie here.
I normally only do unwrappings for steelbooks. I stupidly missed the 4K steelbook for this movie, but I couldn’t pass up the Arrow release. Check it out.
It’s a good movie. It’s definitely different from the original Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2. It is cool to see a different take on the concept. Sam Raimi was a producer on this.
We do have Evil Dead Burn coming out in July. It’s meant to be a stand alone film, but we’ll have to wait and see if there are any other connections. Rumors are starting to float around.
