Most people now know who Thanos is. His appearances in various Marvel Studios movies lead to his big clash against the heroes in Avengers: Infinity War. What some people may not be aware of is the fact that, once upon a time, he had a helicopter with his name written on the side. In other words, it was a Thanos Copter.
Appearing in 1979’s Spidey Super Stories #39, the story dealt with Spider-Man and Hellcat trying to stop Thanos and his universe-domination plans with a cosmic cube. As one of their San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, Mattel released a Hot Wheels version of the vehicle, and it’s pretty amazing. Check it out in the video below.
I’m still not sure if I want to release the copter from the Cosmic Cube. It looks cool on display like that. The box is pretty cool as well. I can’t express how excited I am to have this. It always seems weird when really cool things like this are exclusive and limited. It’s not really fair to those that are unable to get it without paying higher prices on eBay.
