There’s a crazy amount of comics released each week. Here’s a look at some of the strangest, coolest, and funniest things you might have missed in last week’s comics. There may be some minor spoilers below.
Batgirl #30
Best Example That You Can Be In The Bat-Family Without Being Dark And Brooding

Barbara Gordon has gone through some tough times in her life. That doesn’t stop her from enjoying life. You would think being a vigilante in Gotham would rain on anyone’s parade, but she can still enjoy the things others would easily take for granted.
Mr. And Mrs. X #7
Best Punch

Writer Kelly Thompson may be putting Gambit and Rogue through some crazy situations, but at least that gives Oscar Bazaldua the opportunity to make Rogue punching someone look really really cool.
Detective Comics #995
Best Reason It May Not Be A Great Idea To Be Friends With Bruce Wayne

Batman may be one of the best crimefighters in the DC Universe, but that doesn’t stop his enemies from figuring out how to strike back at him. Leslie Thompkins has Been a huge and crucial part of Bruce Wayne and Batman’s life over the years. Unfortunately, things don’t look too great when she gets hit by a new strain of Joker Toxin.
Last Thing You’d Want To See If You’re Locked Up In Arkham Asylum

As if Leslie Thompkins getting attacked wasn’t enough, someone else even closer to Batman was targeted. Batman decides to go directly to Arkham Asylum to have some “words” with the inmates to find out who’s responsible.
Champions #1
Best Example Why No One Should Say They’re “In The Hizee”

Under Ms. Marvel’s leadership, the Champions have added to their roster and just fought a battle on three fronts. One of the new members declares they’re “in the Hizeee!” when they return. Riri Williams makes sure to point out this is something that no one should ever say.
Batman Beyond #27
Best Reason You Should Never Trust Joker When His Hand Is Behind His Back

Joker has made a comeback in the “Batman Beyond” timeline. After cleaning up some loose ends, he’s decided it’s time to upgrade to keep up with the new Batman. He approaches one of his henchmen with a knife behind his back, and you can imagine that isn’t going to end well.
Winter Soldier #2
Most Brutal Punches This Week

Rogue may make punching someone look cool, but Bucky Barnes doesn’t go for a glitzy performance. He unleashes a barrage of blows that sends blood splattering everywhere, even off-panel!
The Flash #61
Best Unexpected Appearance

Zebra-Man is an obscure Batman villain who first appeared back in 1960. He’s only made a small handful of appearances since then. What makes his appearance in the latest issue of The Flash even more unexpected is the fact that I just made a video about Zebra-Man (and Zebra Batman), thinking there was no way we’d see the character anytime soon.
Tony Stark: Iron Man #7
Best Reason To Be Careful If You Live In New Jersey

Tony Stark and Janet van Dyne head to Baintronics to investigate an attack against his company. They both seem to believe New Jersey is a good place for a super villain base and/or being there could turn you into a super villain.
Heroes In Crisis #4
Best Wall Graffiti

Donna Troy has retrieved the drunken former Aqualad. As she carries him out of the bar, they pass by some really cool Teen Titans graffiti. It may not actually be there in the comic since it’s meant to be the imagery for the credits page, but it still looks really cool.
Immortal Hulk #11
Worst Return Appearance

Sometimes in comics it can be difficult keeping track of who’s alive and who’s dead. While Hulk is in some sort of Hell, he runs into Rick Jones. It’s safe to say, Rick has looked better–even when he went by the name “A-Bomb.”
Action Comics #1006
Best Reason Reading Post-It Notes Is Important

The Daily Planet’s newest reporter has some interesting secrets. She also has some interesting notes one and around her workspace. The Post-It Notes on her monitor mention Greg Rucka writing an unauthorized Lois Lane book, the return of Young Justice, Kamandi graffiti, Hal Jordan’s name in a heart, and more. There’s also an intriguing article about the “hottest men in trunks” on one of her screens.
Old Lady Harley #3
Best Reason Living In A Country Ruled By Lex Luthor Might Not Be Too Bad

Lex Luthor may be a horrible monster of a person, but it appears in a possible post-apocalyptic future of the DC Universe, the country known as Lexico has turned green Skittles back to lime flavor rather than the current apple.
Best Reason Prolonged Use Of Steroidal Substances Is A Bad Idea

Bane was always one of the fiercest members in Batman’s rogue gallery. That may not be the case anymore in this future world.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to pick up these comics at your local comic shop, if you haven’t already if any of these moments strikes your fancy.
