We previously heard the news about J.J. Abrams, Henry Abrams, and Sara Pichelli working on an upcoming Spider-Man miniseries. Aside from the the creative team and that Spidey would be facing a deadly new foe called Cadaverous, not a whole lot of info was available.
A new trailer has been released with more insights from the Abrams and Executive Editor Nick Lowe. They’re still keeping the facts to themselves, but there is some new information we can pull out.
Spider-Man will be faced with making some of the hardest choices of his life. Lowe said the following:
“Having these geniuses working together on Spider-Man, the greatest fictional character of all time, couldn’t be better. Cadaverous is one of the most terrifying Spider-Man villains of all time – and that’s saying something. Spidey has faced the Green Goblin, Carnage, Venom, and Cadaverous might be even scarier and a little bit grosser than any of them.”

J.J. mentioned their excitement for being able to work with Pichelli.
“We knew [Sara Pichelli’s] stuff – she’s a genius. The fact that we got Sara to do this book was the luckiest gift of all time.”
Henry Abrams added more on being able to work on Spider-Man and what makes him an appealing character.
“Spider-Man in general has been one of the most interesting super hero characters to me – how when he gets stronger, his problems get bigger. A large focus on our series was [Spider-Man] as a person and not just him as a mask. So how does he deal with these real issues? It’s been a pleasure exploring that.”
Spider-Man #1 will be available on September 18.
