Unboxing: Funko Speed Racer Spring Convention Exclusive

It’s Unboxing Time!

Here’s another Funko Pop I’ve had for a little while now. With the craziness of everything, I somehow haven’t had the time or energy to get these unboxing videos done in a more timely fashion.

I recently posted an unboxing video for the other Funko Speed Racer items. This is the Spring Convention Exclusive which was meant to be released during Emerald City Comic Con, which sadly was postponed. (Hopefully it’ll still happen in August). I love Speed Racer and couldn’t resist this variant.

I do like how Funko doesn’t necessarily take the easy route when it comes to making variants of figures. The little difference in the helmet visor and body position is appreciated. In the past, companies would just give a figure a new paint job and sell it as a variant or new figure.

It would be nice to see other characters from the show like Pops, Trixie, Sparky, Spritle and Chim Chim, Inspector Detector, or even Captain Terror and Snake Oiler from the Car Acrobatic Team. I can always dream.
