Most Batman fans are aware of the classic Death in the Family story arc. This is the tragic tale of when Jason Todd, the second Robin, met his death at the hands of Batman’s greatest enemy. Now you can play a role in determining the events and outcome of the story, similar to how Jason’s fate was once determined by votes via telephone.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced DC Showcase – Batman: Death in the Family for release this fall.

The release will also feature the animated shorts from the recent 2019-2020 releases. These include shorts featuring Sgt. Rock, Adam Strange, Death, and The Phantom Stranger.
The interactive release on Blu-ray will allow viewers to choose where the story goes by using their remote control.
DC Showcase – Batman: Death in the Family will be available on Blu-ray for a suggested retail price of $24.98 and Digital for $19.99 SRP. The Blu-ray features all the shorts in hi-definition, including the fully-interactive, extended Batman: Death in the Family along with a digital version of the DC Showcase shorts.
The Digital version of the release features the Batman: Death in the Family extended-length short in a non-interactive version (previously included in Under the Red Hood: Reloaded), along with the other shorts. There will also be three other non-interactive versions entitled Jason Todd’s Rebellion, Robin’s Revenge, and Red Hood’s Reckoning as bonus features. Be aware that not all Digital retailers offer bonus features.
DC Showcase – Batman: Death in the Family will be available beginning on October 13, 2020.
