Black Widow Related Comics To Be Released In November

We are still eagerly waiting for the release of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow movie. It was originally set for a May release date but the pandemic shut down theaters. Marvel Comics also decided to hold back on some books featuring characters who will appear in the film. These now have a new release date set for November, when the movie will hopefully make it to theaters after they open.

The books, Widowmakers: Red Guardian and Yelena Belova and Taskmaster will offer an introduction of the characters for those unfamiliar with them while also promising plenty of action.

Deven Grayson, one of the creators of Yelena Belova, returns with a brand new story focusing on the character. Belova spent years trying to figure out who she is and once believed the Black Widow mantle was her destiny. Now her past is catching up to get her. Alexi Shostakov (Red Guardian) will come out of the shadows as well.

Taskmaster has become a target for the greatest spies in the Marvel Universe after it is believed he murdered Maria Hill. Jed Mackay (Black Cat) is writing the issue with art by Alessandro Vitti (Secret Warriors). The story will take place around the world and “will send ripples through every corner of Marvel’s espionage community and beyond.”

Taskmaster is a five-issue miniseries.
