It’s official. The weirdest superhero show you’ve ever watched is coming back for a third season. The news came out during DC’s FanDome virtual panel presentations.

HBO Max has exclusively ordered another season. Sarah Auubrey, head of original content, HBO Max, made the following statement:
“The series sits well in our portfolio and we are glad to greenlight a third season to continue the distinctive style of storytelling that resonates so well with critics and fans alike.”
It’s good to hear they can appreciate the show for what it is. Sounds like they will continue to let the showrunner and writers do their thing. Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Diane Guerrero as Jane aka Crazy Jane, April Bowlby as Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman, Joivan Wade as Victor Stone aka Cyborg, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor aka Negative Man, with Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder aka the Chief.
If you watched the second season, you know it ended with a bit of a cliffhanger. (Both seasons are available on HBO Max and DC Universe). The heroes set off to save the world, but things got a little messy.
There isn’t an official premiere date, but a super-short video clip revealed Season 3 with 2021 release date.
