Back in February, DC Comics announced the return to Superman ’78 (and Batman ’89). The release of the first issue of the Richard Donner/Christopher Reeve Man of Steel is approaching almost faster than a speeding bullet. DC has released a ‘first look’ preview for the series along the covers for the first four issues.
The series is is brought to life by writer by Rob Venditti (Hawkman) and artist Wilfredo Torres (Batman ’66).
In the first issue, the citizens of Metropolis are delighted but still getting used to Superman’s presence. Lois Lane doesn’t know Clark Kent is secretly Superman…at least not yet.
Lex Luthor may not necessarily be a current threat, but it looks like Superman will have his hands full when Brainiac comes to down.
