Batman: Year One Remastered 4K Announced

It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released the animated two-part Batman: Year One movie.

To celebrate, WBHE has announced the upcoming release of a fully remastered version of the film.

The commemorative edition will also feature a newly created bonus feature titled Reinventing Gordon. Other original special features, including the DC Showcase Catwoman animated short will also be included.

The movie was originally released back in 2011 and is based on the 1987 DC titles from 12-time Eisner Award winner and Eisner Award Hall of Fame member Frank Miller and artist David Mazzucchelli. The voice cast includes Bryan Cranston as Lieutenant James Gordon, Ben McKenzie as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Eliza Dushku as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and Katee Sackhoff as Detective Sarah Essen. The movie was directed by Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu.

The film, produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, has a PG-13 rating and will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (USA $33.99 SRP; Canada $39.99 SRP) and Digital starting November 9, 2021.
