It’s Unwrapping Time!
This time we’re checking out the recent release of Smashing Pumpkins’ Siamese Dream album. Originally released on July 27, 1993 (in the US), the album was been re-released as a RSD Essential vinyl in Red Smoke 180gm on April 11, 2025.
This was the band’s second album, but it’s the one that really skyrocketed their career. If you’re a fan of 90s alternative rock, this album belongs in your collection.
You can see the “red smoke” isn’t necessarily consistent. That’s typical for vinyl records as there are always differences during the production period. It does make things a little exciting because you can’t be sure how exactly the vinyl will look until you open it.
