It’s Unwrapping Time!
This week we’re looking at the collector’s edition for the Speed Racer 4K Steelbook. To be clear, this is actually the UK edition. It has a slipcase along with some art cards and posters. The steelbook was released in the US. The reason I got the UK version is because I love this movie and Speed Racer in general so much. When it was first announced, there was only mention of the UK version and the UK collector’s item. I didn’t want to miss out on a steelbook, and of course I’d want teh extras. So I pre-ordered a copy.
Then the US version was announced. I can’t remember if there was a collector’s edition for the US. I didn’t pay attention since I had this one order. And let me say, it was well packaged. This isn’t an ad for the shipper, but I do give them a shout out in the video.

As mentioned in the video, I did recently see it again at the theater. It wasn’t clear if it was the 4K version or just the regular. Either way, it looked great. It was fun watching it again in a theater full of fans and hearing then laugh and everything. I’m excited to watch this again at home. I never thought we’d get a 4K version. I’m overjoyed that we also got a steelbook.
