This week’s movie feature is DC Studios’ Supergirl. Seems like many are trying to knock the movie down, but it was a lot of fun. You can also hear about the second episode of the third season of My Adventures With Superman. Toyman makes an appearance and, of course, Lex has a new scheme he’s about to unleash on Superman and Supergirl. There’s also another episode of Spider-Noir plus the latest comics and a lot of news.
Don’t forget about this wee’s bonus Secret Podcast From Heck (exclusively on Patreon) for more movie or comic talk.

Last week was an Off My Mind episode about the little controversy over the cover to The Amazing Spider-Man #1000, coming in September. Basically what happened was in May, the cover by John Romita Jr with painted colors by Paolo Rivera was revealed as the main cover. There was a lot of criticism by “fans” online over the confusion of not understanding the perspective was from underneath and the force of webslinging forward distorted things.
Then a couple weeks ago, a new press release came out revealing that Pepe Larraz’s new cover was the main cover. It was mentioned three times. The Romita Jr/Rivera cover was almost completely erased except for one mention along with the other variant covers except the order number for retailers was missing.
Fans of Romita Jr and Rivera and many professionals in the industry were deeply concerned at the apparent decision to remove the cover after it had been approved and announced just because some people complained they didn’t like it.
You can hear how Marvel responded, but it’s more about how things like this happen.
