Last week’s exclusive bonus episode took us back to 1959 with Action Comics #251. Clark Kent was interviewing a scientist who made a serum to extend life. He decided to try it on himself in order to prevent the doc testing it on someone else and risking their life.
It turned out there was a problem and it caused Clark to turn super-old. He became the “oldest man in Metropolis.” The other problem he has to deal with is continuing to save people despite his powers fading and trying to hide his aging since people might figure things out if both Clark Kent and Superman were suddenly old.
