Things are really going well for Harley Quinn. In recent years, she’s become a very popular character at DC Comics. There’s been big success with her ongoing series (launched in 2011 and written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti) along with some interesting miniseries and a bunch of guest appearances in other titles. At this year’s New York Comic Con, some big Harley news was announced on the first day.
Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti are returning to the character in a new miniseries, Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey.

The four-issue series will be released through DC’s Black Label imprint and will launch in 2020. What makes this news even sweeter is Conner will be also be doing interior art. The story will deal with the return of the Joker. This gives Harley reason to team up with Black Canary, Batgirl, and Huntress to fight off all the criminal element that starts gunning for Harley after Joker puts a $10,000,000 bounty on her head.
Each issue will contain 32-pages, and the first is due in February.

In other Harley news out of NYCC, the release date for the adult-animated series was finally revealed. The first episode will debut on DC Universe on November 29. Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker are the Executive Producers and Kaley Cuoco voices Harley.
Finally, you most likely have already seen the trailer for Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). If not, check it out below.
Harley Quinn should definitely be a household name if she’s not already.
