Spider-Man is once again getting a new costume. Last week Marvel announced it would be happening in an upcoming issue of The Amazing Spider-Man. The reason will be due to the “traumatic events” of the Sin’s Rising story arc. Peter will apparently need a new costume to face off against Kingpin.
The “mystery” behind the top secret costume will be revealed in issues 62 and 63 of The Amazing Spider-Man on sale in March. Check out the variant covers by Dustin Weaver.
The costume was designed by Weaver. He made the following statement on the process:
“This design was really a collaborative effort between Nick Spencer, Editor Nick Lowe, and I. They reined in the weirder and more techy features I was bringing and helped create something that I think is simple and both futuristic and classical. I can’t wait to see Patrick Gleason really bring it to life!”
Nick Spencer continues to write the series. The art and main covers for the issues will be by Patrick Gleason. Issue #62 is on sale in March 2021 with 63 due in April.
