Yara Flor – WONDER GIRL Series Announced By DC Comics

Yara Flor is getting her own series. Who is Yara Flor?

If you’ve been reading the Future State comics from DC, you’re aware that Yara Flor is the Wonder Woman is a possible future timeline. It’s not really much of a surprise to find out she will be getting her own series. This isn’t a spin-off or continuation from her Future State appearances. This is actually her introduction to the modern day DC Universe.

Since she will be younger in the current timeline, she’ll be making her debut as “Wonder Girl” in a new series in May.

We will see that Yara Flor has been raised in Boise, Idaho. Feeling that something’s been missing from her life, she decides to head to Brazil to figure things out. This journey will set off a series of events that will change her life as well as Wonder Woman’s.

Yara’s return to Brazil has actually been prophesied. She will soon gain the undivided attention of “benevolent gods from pantheons beyond.”

Before her series begins, a teaser story will be part of DC’s Infinite Frontier #0, on sale March 2.

Wonder Girl #1 is on sale May 18. The series is written and drawn by Joëlle Jones with colors by Jordie Bellaire and letters by Clayton Cowles. There will also be a 1:25 variant cover by Bilquis Evely.

A Wonder Girl TV series featuring Yara Flor has been previously announced for The CW with Greg Berlanti. Bilquis Evely is the executive producer/co-showrunner.
