Warner Bros released the first official trailer for Shazam!: Fury of the Gods at San Diego Comic-Con in Hall H.
The family has been active as heroes in Philadelphia during the few years since we’ve last seen them. The major problem for our titular hero is he is doubting his place as a hero among the other heroes such as Flash, Aquaman, and Batman. It looks like he’ll get a chance to prove himself when Helen Mirren’s Hespera and Lucy Liu’s Kalypso come to town. They’re not too happy that children have “stolen” the power of the gods.

During the Hall H presentation, when Zachary Levi was asked whether or not Superman would appear, he replied, “I can neither confirm nor deny allegations such as these.” It is interesting that they specifically did not choose to mention Superman when Shazam listed some of the other heroes.
Could there be a Shazam 3? “If you guys go and see this one and you like it.”
Shazam: Fury of the Gods arrives in theaters December 21, 2022.
