Best Stuff In Comics This Week

There’s a crazy amount of comics released each week. Here’s a look at some of the strangest, coolest, and funniest things you might have missed in last week’s comics. Batman just went through a crazy experience for his birthday. We get to see him look over some of his past costumes and are reminded just how cool each one is.

Batman looks over the stats for murders in Gotham. While they have gone down the past year, it’s still not good enough. His goal is for a time where there are zero murders

Black Panther Vs. Deadpool #5

Best Observation About Black Panther and Deadpool 2

Deadpool makes the observation many of us likely have had. In both Black Panther and Deadpool 2, they use the same arms-crossed super hero salute. Deadpool insists it was coincidental. He does have a point about it making a little more sense to be X-Men/X-Force related.

Batman Beyond #20

Best Long Awaited Beyond Confrontation

We finally get a confrontation between Joker and Batman in the Batman Beyond Universe. It was long assumed Joker was dead, but it turns out that wasn’t the case. Will either be able to survive this fight at their age?

Age of X-Man: X-Tremists #1

Best Reason Shotgun Rules Must Be Respected

In the Age of X-Man world, Bobby Drake, aka Iceman, is pretty much as obnoxious as he normally is. As the team prepares to head out on a case, he loudly calls “shotgun.” Northstar ignores this and zips to the front seat.

One must always respect proper shotgun etiquette. Society could crumble if this isn’t the case.

Oliver #2

Best Oliver Twist Homage

In this bizarre futuristic world, we see a scene similar to that in Oliver Twist with a Oliver asking for more food. If you’re familiar with the original story, you should really be getting a kick out this different take.

Amazing Spider-Man #16

Best Thoughts On Illegal Animal Hunters

Kraven doesn’t kill this guy. He has bigger plans. These plans involved all the animal-themed supervillains he had Taskmaster and Black Ant capture.

Old Lady Harley #5

Strangest Suggestion To What Joker’s Fate Might Be

There was some question as to whether or not Joker was alive after many years being assumed dead. Red Tool has a strange idea what could’ve happened to him.

Daredevil #2

Best Advantage Of Being A Superhero

Being a superhero most likely isn’t the easiest job. At least with superhuman abilities, you’d have the opportunity to go places normal people don’t have access to. In this scene we see Daredevil sitting at a place that gives a spectacular view.

In all honesty, I made this selection without thinking about the fact that Daredevil unfortunately can’t quite enjoy the view…

The Flash #65

Best Brutal Exchange Of Words Between Heroes

There’s been a bit of tension between Flash and Batman since Wally West was killed. They reluctantly teamed up on a recent case, but the harsh exchange of words almost got deadly. Barry lays into Bruce who finally retaliates with a comment about the fact that Barry forgot about Wally’s existence. Barry comes real close to giving a super-powered punch to Bruce’s face.

Batman impressively doesn’t even flinch. Maybe he didn’t have time to flinch?

X-Force #3

Worst Upgrade To Deathlok You’d Want To See

Having to face off against a Deathlok would be freaky and scary enough on its own. When this current one pops some Wolverine-inspired energy claws, you know things are about to get even worse.

Heroes In Crisis #6

Best Reaction To A Really Bad Pun

Harley snuck into Sanctuary with Poison Ivy. She gets some “therapy” herself over the way Joker treated her. A simulated Joker tells a pretty bad joke and she responds with a nice right hook.

But we don’t condone the use of right hooks if someone happens to tell a really bad joke. Especially since I’ve been known to tell a groaner or two in my time.
