As DC Comics’ Year of the Villain starts up, one of Batman’s greatest enemies is getting his own series. Ra’s al Ghul, also known as the Demon’s Head, is getting a six-issue miniseries written and drawn by the legendary Neal Adams. Ra’s is the leader of the League of Assassins as well as the grandfather to Batman’s son, Damian.

In Batman Vs. Ra’s al Ghul, Gotham City is under siege by terrorists. Batman tries figuring out who is behind the attack, but it’s Deadman who discovers the terrorists are led by an inhuman monster.
Who else can help the GCPD? Ra’s al Ghul will step up and volunteer his own private security force to help out. Since this is Ra’s al Ghul, you could safely assume he’ll have some sort of hidden agenda. Could this be his chance to finally kill Batman and destroy his beloved city? What is Bruce Wayne doing to prevent either of these outcomes?
Going along with the series, DC will release Batman #232 Facsimile Edition. This is the story that introduced Ra’s al Ghul and will be reprinted in its original format. The story also introduced Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter Talia.
Both Batman Vs. Ra’s al Ghul by Neal Adams and Batman #232 Facsimile Edition by Dennis O’Neil, Neal Adams and Dick Giordano go on sale on August 21, 2019.
