This week’s movie feature is The Dog Stars, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret, Qualley, and Guy Pearce. It’s based off the novel by Peter Heller. There will be a clearly separated segment comparing some parts of the movie and novel, which will include some spoilers. Last week featured a look back at Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #42 from 1960. Superman uncovered a buried tomb. Jimmy was with and asked if he could take some of the items in the tomb before they went to the museum so he could photograph them and get a scoop for the Daily Planet. Superman agreed and said he’d come for them later. One of the items was the Aladdin’s Lamp with a genie inside. Jimmy ends up getting turned into a genie and is forced to grant the questionable wishes of a not so good person.
This week will likely feature a look back at baby Kal-El on Krypton and the time Lara decided she was going to take him and leave Jor-El.
