The coolest comic art you won’t see in comics.
The reason you won’t see this art in comics is because artists often draw sketches, warm-ups, and commissions and post them on their Instagrams, Tumblrs, and Twitter. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out to stay up to date with what they have going on.

J. Scott Campbell posted an update to that classic Mary Jane-drinking-coffee cover on his Instagram after someone apparently tried “fixing” his art. The results were a pretty interesting lesson from Campbell on the different aspects of art.

Campbell also put up this sketch for auction here with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Fresh Artists.
